Green Bay Packer linebacker Kyler Fackrell and wife Elizabeth will be honored by Disabled American Veterans (DAV), Department of Wisconsin for their work in helping veterans in need. Fackrell leads the Packers in quarterback sacks with 9.5. The award presentation will be Monday, January 7, 2019 9:00 am at DAV Wisconsin Headquarters, 1253 Scheuring Road, Suite A, De Pere.
The Award is for their community service to local Green Bay area veterans and their families. Kyler and Elizabeth Fackrell have supported these veterans for the past three (3) years by:
• Providing Thanksgiving dinners to veterans and their families
• Donating prizes and autographed Green Bay Packer footballs to DAV Chapter 3 in Green Bay for their picnics and Christmas party
• Donating to the Green Bay Gamblers Military Appreciation Night with the proceeds going to DAV Chapter 3 Transportation
• Renting the Titletown ice skating rink for the 127th Infantry, Wisconsin National Guard before their deployment to Afghanistan
DAV State Junior Vice Commander Matt Kampien said, “Kyler and Elizabeth Fackrell are incredible! They recognize the commitment to duty and selfless sacrifice made by our nation’s veterans. Their behind the scenes work to assist veterans in need is greatly appreciated. The DAV Wisconsin Commander Community Service Award is truly deserved.”
The Award will be presented by DAV State Commander Mike Hert.
