A DAV Family Day is held annually where members visit residents of the Home who are non-ambulatory, bringing them gifts and spending time with them. For the other members, a picnic is held on the grounds which provides food, beverages, prizes, music and a great opportunity to mingle with the residents.

King Day
This annual program is held on the 4th Sunday of June at the Veterans Home at King and is an all-day function. DAV members visit the residents of the Home who are non-ambulatory, bringing them gifts and spending time with them. For the other members, a picnic is held in the park which provides food, beverages, prizes, music and a great opportunity to mingle with the residents.

Veterans Home at Chippewa Falls
Located at 2175 E. Park Ave. in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin. Wisconsin Veterans Home at Chippewa Falls provides compassionate and professional long-term care to veterans and spouses who cannot be cared for in their homes. A multidisciplinary team of physicians, nurses, therapists and social workers develop a customized, goal-oriented treastment plan to address each member's specific needs. Child Welfare
This program is administered by the DAV Auxiliary in conjunction with County Veterans Service Officers. A DAV District is chosen each year, based on numerical rotation. Recipients are children with special needs. Donations are accepted all year long.
Transportation Program
DAV’s Transportation Network Program is designed to provide free rides to veterans who have difficulty getting to and from VA Medical Centers and Clinics. The Program is managed by DAV Hospital Service Coordinators (HSC). The operating expenses incurred by the Wisconsin DAV HSC Offices to maintain the Program relies mainly on donations from DAV chapters, Auxiliary units, individuals, corporations and other veterans groups. Donations are always welcomed.

The DAV in Wisconsin maintains a website (www.dav-wi.org), a Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/DAV.WI) and outreach programs. These valuable tools are essential to bring our message of veterans helping veterans to the public and our members. Donations to maintain these programs are appreciated.
Hospital Fund
DAV Volunteers are stationed at various VA Medical Centers and Clinics and State Veterans Homes to assist patients and residents. Each facility receives separate funds to provide direct assistance for their patients and residents. This fund pays the general operating expenses needed to operate the volunteer programs. Since the Hospital Fund has no regular source of income…please be generous.
Transportation Vans
DAV’s Transportation Network Program in Wisconsin maintains over 40 vans. Because of heavy usage, each year many vans must be replaced at a cost of over $26,000.00 each. We rely solely on donations from DAV chapters, Auxiliary units, individuals, corporations and other veterans’ groups to replace these vans. Donations are always needed.
Department of Wisconsin Foundation
The Foundation acts as the charitable “giving arm” of the Department, providing financial resources for projects and programs directly supporting veterans and their families throughout Wisconsin. The Foundation, as the grant-making arm of the Department, shall solicit, collect, and otherwise raise funds in accordance with Article 15 National Bylaws for the purpose of providing financial support to ensure the perpetuation of the services and programs of the department. In addition, the Foundation may grant funds to projects and causes that advance the mission of the DAV through action of the Board of Directors.
National Disabled Veterans Golf Clinic
